Community Infrastructure is infrastructure that is openly accessible to, and has strong benefits for, the general public. Create a historical walking trail in Franklin and beautification of the Franklin foreshore. The Community Infrastructure Fund will be open to not for profit organisations incorporated or registered under company law local councils including council-owned businesses and private sector businesses to assist with capital costs associated with the construction of new, or the upgrading of existing, infrastructure that will benefit the community.
This infrastructure benefits the community and includes, but is not limited to: community halls and other town or city facilities and amenities waste transfer stations and disposal areas community parks, lands and gardens recreational and sporting facilities township beautification works and street furniture playgrounds footpaths and cycle ways walking trails and public pathways interpretive age lookouts airports, aerodromes, airfields public safety and security infrastructure car parking areas non-commercial public toilets and tourism infrastructure development.
